POKOTABI / Sakura Suisan
海鮮処 さくら水産 イオン新浦安店
Located on the 4th floor of AEON Shin-Urayasu in Chiba Prefecture, Kaisendokoro Sakura Suisan serves hearty set lunches with sashimi, rice bowls, and fried horse mackerel, transforming in the evening into a lively seafood izakaya featuring tabletop hamayaki grills and regional sake.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
For unpretentious seafood prepared fresh, Kaisendokoro Sakura Suisan on the 4th floor of AEON Shin-Urayasu offers a dependable dining stop. It easily adapts across the day, serving filling set meals and rice bowls at lunch, then switching into an izakaya setting at night with grilled tabletop dishes, seafood appetizers, and drinks.
The midday menu centers on varied raw fish options, including the five-variety market sashimi set meal and a lighter daily two-variety sashimi set. Those wanting a seafood-topped rice bowl can opt for the daily special kaisen-don or the fisherman-style marinated fish donburi. Fried specialties round out the midday spread, featuring crisp deep-fried fresh horse mackerel (aji fry) as well as combo sets pairing aji fry or Japanese fried chicken with sashimi.
In the evening, the atmosphere livens up with seaside-style grill items cooked right at the table, such as a daily three-item hamayaki platter, live turban shell, or live abalone. Gatherings easily flow over platters of daily sashimi, five pieces of Hachijojima-style shima-sushi, and savory seafood delicacies like salted tuna entrails (shuto) or sea pineapple shiokara. The drinks menu complements the food with draft beer, Hoppy, and regional sake from across Japan, including Hitakami from Miyagi, Kuzuryu from Fukui, and Suigei from Kochi.
To close out a meal, light bowls of dashi-infused chazuke—featuring marinated fresh fish or seaweed with spicy cod roe—provide a warm and gentle finish. Its location inside a shopping complex makes it easy to access, and the availability of group banquet courses with all-you-can-drink plans makes the venue suitable for casual dinners as well as larger group gatherings.
